 1957 Magnatone Mark IV

Probably one of the coolest guitars to come through and very hard to find here in the Uk is this Magnatone Mark IV thats had a 1960’s Bibsby B3 added turning it essentially into a Mark V. The original trapeze tail piece is in the case which is also original to the guitar. Designed by Paul Bigsby for Magantone the guitar includes many of Bigsby’s forward design ideas and nods to his own builds. The guitar is chambered in construction so light with aluminium inlays and nut. 2 Bigsby designed single coil pickups with volume and tone controls with a 3 way switch. Superb guitar.

1959 Silvertone (Danelectro) U1

In great original condition with some finish wear to the back of the neck as you would expect. Lovely metallic copper colour. The edging is also in very good condition which is not often the case.  If you need to know the exact year, its in the neck pocket as they remain unchanged through the years we leave that for you.

Starting in the mid-’50s, most guitars bearing the Silvertone brand name were produced by Danelectro. Silvertone was the in-house brand of Sears and was marketed to beginner guitarists. The U-1 was produced with a bottle-style headstock and later with a slanted six-on-a-side headstock. This model was also given the number 1317 by Silvertone
