1966 Gibson Barney Kessel

I like this guitar, I didn't think I would but it fits like a glove. Maybe its the 25 ½ “ scale length with a slim taper neck on a double cut 17 inch wide body that does it. Whatever it is’ they knew what they were doing when they put it together. This one is in superb condition with hardly any miles on the original frets.

Comes with its original yellow lined Gibson case.

Another beautiful 1960’s collector grade Gibson guitar on our books, this really is as clean as it gets considering its 48 years on the planet. 1966 Gibson Melody Maker Pelham Blue

Gibson’s answer to Fender’s  Custom colour Lake Placid Blue on this early 1966 Gibson Melody Maker in Pelham Blue finish. Nice clean double pick up example complete with its tremolo arm. Plays extremely well and sounds surprisingly good with its single coil pickups giving it a dark  woody fenderish tone. Just some very light ware to its edges keeps it from mint. Comes with a recent Gibson gigbag.

1959 Epiphone Coronet

A 1959 Epiphone Coronet is a rare guitar by any standards and this one is a killer. These are an equal match for a les Paul Junior from the same period but with the New Yorker pickup a bit brighter, say more Esquire. Slab body along with a lovely full V neck makes this a joy to play. The guitar has been refinished by Clive Brown and the  only other change I can see is the bridge which is a later compensated type from the 60’s Some finish has been disturbed at the heel of the guitar and my guess is is its moved at some point and been glued back in or even just popped the laquer.…which means the good news is its £3500

Sid Poole LP Style guitar

Here we have a Les Paul style guitar by the legendry luthier Sid Poole. The guitar is similar in feel to a standard but much thinner and therefore lighter. The guitar is of course fitted with Tom holmes nickel covered PAF’s which are controlled by a single volume and tone control. The tuners have been swapped out with schallers somewhere along the line. Very cool guitar and a rare find that presents a good opportunity to aquire.

1961 Gibson SG Special

Super cool and a feather weight is this very early players grade 1961 Gibson SG Special.. Superb playing neck with a non stepped swept heel joint that does show a slight stress crack that has not emerged through the top coat so it could even be lacquer checking. Changed tuners and has had multiple tremolo arrangements fitted over the years but back as a wrap round. Rubber washer on the output socket. All original electronics intact and look to be un touched. Unsupported Zal Cleminson link included.
